Soul Nebula
The Soul Nebula is a vast star-forming region in the constellation Cassiopeia, approximately 6,500 light-years away. It is often shown together with the Heart Nebula, as both belong to one large complex in the Perseus arm of our Galaxy. The entire region is over 150 light-years across and contains young stars and an open star cluster that illuminates the nebula from within. The image was taken with narrowband filters outside the region of the visible spectrum and converted to the HOO palette.
