M101 - Pinwheel

Galaxy M101, nicknamed the Pinwheel, is a large spiral galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major. It lies about 25 million light-years from Earth and is larger than our Milky Way. In 2023, one of the arms was lit up by a very bright supernova, which is no longer observable today. To the right of the Pinwheel Galaxy is a smaller spiral galaxy labeled NGC 5474.
