NGC 7129 - Reflection Nebula

The reflection and diffuse nebula in the constellation Cepheus is 3,300 light-years away. A young open star cluster illuminates the surrounding nebulae. A recent survey suggests that the cluster contains more than 130 stars older than 1 million years. Our Sun was probably once born in a similar stellar nursery. Most notable are the bluish dust clouds that reflect the light of young stars. The compact dark red crescents are signatures of energetic young stellar objects known as Herbig–Haro objects. Their shape and color are characteristic of glowing hydrogen gas, which is struck by jets flowing from newborn stars.

It is a not very well-known and photographed object. The total exposure time is more than 18 hours, which in my opinion is the optimal time for this very weak subject and a DSLR. A longer time will not bring many details, but the processing of background noise is more demanding.
